Headed for southern California about 20 minutes ago.

Rusty, where are you? Are you also in CA? I know Munk is from Montana, so was just wondering where his path was taking him. I am in central CA and would love to meet him, or anyone else that is in the neighborhood. Should have coordinated with him I guess but missed the info that he was headed this way.

Regards,

Norm

Kis, I was just teasing Ferrous a bit with the who'se; I assumed as a writer he was familiar with the difference between whose and who's and was intentionally goofing (?) I'm thinking that maybe you're goofing too, and I'm just too dense to catch it:confused: :) Ah, well, it's been a long week.

Hawthorne, Nevada, Norm.

You know where the east gate of Yosemite is? I'm northwest of that about 70 miles. At the south end of Walker Lake ( Flyway of the Loons ), Nevada. Sitting a few miles southeast of the peak of Mount Grant. North of me is the Walker Lake Paiute Tribal Reservation, where the Ghost Dance of 1889 originated. Southwest 70 miles is Yosemite. West-south-west 30 miles is the ghost town of Aurora, Nevada. A bit further west of that ( 6 or 8 miles ) is the ghost town of Bodie, California. A few miles further south of that is the north end of Mono Lake. 30 miles southeast is the town of Mina, and a couple miles further is Billie's Day and Night guest ranch ( aka cathouse ). Vegas is maybe 350 miles more going southerly. Going north and west 132 miles is Reno.

Got it! Sounds like a great place to live. I'll be you don't have any problems finding a place to shoot. I have been trying to find time to visit my brother in Las Vegas for a couple of years, so maybe I'll get a chance to check out the country around there on the way back.

Regards,

Norm

Anyway, hope munk wasn't too disappointed to discover my feet of clay face to face.

I dont know any feet of clay

things are returning to normal around here- just wait and see. the bumps in the road soon resolved, I'm thinking.

Rusty and his wife were wonderful to us. I think his son was impressed i gave him his own juice beverage

I have a friendship with Rusty that is unique. God is kind to me. He places these points of Light in my path so that even lost I am not gone.

I could reinterate everyone's opinion of Bill. I saw him when he felt better, and probably stayed an hour too long- but it was hard to remember he was a ill man under the warm atmosphere in the trailer.

I think Bill is on the return path home- prayers still needed.

let me say something about Yangdu-
she is wonderfull
I have a son with soulfull eyes, and he and Yangdu visited together . Later he told me she was great to talk to, and he spoke with her in a way he had not experienced yet with anyone. He is seven.

She is a pool of grace, and I will say now publically her smile is sensational and she is not represented fairly by her photos on the web site, she is much prettier.

Bill, however, is represented accurately. How much can you do with an old dog? He did look a bit bigger in person. As kind as you all know him to be, in person he is easy to talk to. He shows the years, but the war worn dogs are much loved and favorite.

here is a good uncle bill story- we discussed the forum and I confided to him who were my own special friends, those who have gone beyond the call of duty to show fondness for munk. Bill said; 'You're all my friends.'

"That's because you're Uncle Bill." I told him as I smiled.

but actually, people, that is also what we need to remind ourselves with each other.
