I am the grand daughter of the late Dave Murphy. I need some advise for selling some of his knives that are duplicates of what I already have. I want them to go to someone that will appreciate his craftsmanship and hard work. I am also hoping that I can locate a set of 4 commemorative knives that were made for the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force. During the transistion of his wife Mary to a care facility the knives were stolen from us. Dave had willed these knives to his great grand daughter and I am trying to locate a set for her.

Any advise....please :)

I had the pleasure to met David M. Murphy -- perhaps your father? -- some years ago.

Hi, welcome to BF, I had a some conversations with your Dad and bought a few knives from him. To this day, I use one of his knives as my personal steak knife.

I'm gathering you have the knives from the '40s to maybe the '90s. Pieces do show up on Ebay , in fact there are several listed right now. Good luck with your sale and your search for the commemoratives.
