Anyone have any experience with Murray Carter knives? Better yet, anyone know where I can get this knife? I saw a picture of it and kind of fell in love with the design. If anyone has any information on where I could find the knife it would be much appreciated.

I will look up his info in my book and send to you by email. Send me an email and I will return the info to you. He is located in Japan. Good knives . he is the village knife maker where he lives.

My experience with Murray Carter, both personally and commercially has been excellent. I bought my son one of his muteki-level kitchen knives, which takes and holds an edge better than the more expensive Henckels we own. He has taken the time to answer all the emails I've sent him inquiring about other knives, and spent time explaining his sharpening technique at last year's Blade. Last time I checked, he's on the list to have a table at this year's show, too. His knives are available thru 3rd party retailers online, but ordering direct from Murray requires patience, as the waiting list is about a year. He had a stock of neck knives for sale at last years' Blade, FYI.
