earlier this month i was talking to murray on the phone about ordering a couple utility knives - just general hunting - fishing - camp kitchen stuff - not only did he suggest these beautiful white cranes, he also extended a december offer that i had missed by several days - which, in effect, gave me a free knife. very cool & something he didn't have to do - i was already going to order two knives - i'm now a lifelong customer

Nice trio of knives.....they don't get much sharper than Murray's blades. :)

I have and use 2 of Murry's kitchen knives, They are a pleasure to use and are some of the sharpist knives that I have ever used. You won't be sorry you treated yourself to one of his knives and yes he is a pleasure to deal with.

i do have the knives now - i'll be using the cocobolo model & i'll let you know how she holds up - also, i use carter kitchen knives & they are shipped as sharp & stay as sharp as anything i own - the white cranes come exceptionally sharp --- takeda - wally hayes & phil hartsfield stuff is about the only other pieces i have that come close to murray's edges

That Cocobolo-scaled knife is sharp! I've been looking at Murrays Whitecrane series and will be ordering one as soon as my budget allows. I saw the horn-handled one on his site as well and wondered if it looked as pink in real life as the pictures showed.

He had another one listed that I really wanted to pick up, it was a 260mm with great lines. I wonder if anyone on the site managed to snag it and could post pics.
