Back in August 2013 I ordered this sword and due to situations outside of my control I did not get it till just last week (Jan 2014). Needless to say, it finally got here and I am so happy that it has arrived.
This is my first real Katana and it is a work of art. The 1060 DH series by Musashi is a GREAT beginner's sword. You can cut bottles, smaller mats and some bamboo. It is a light to medium cutter. Know this, it will cut you right out of the box. Although I did not draw blood, I had a fine paper cut sort of cut from touching the blade. This is NOT a toy and this is a serious weapon. I am pleased to have this in my collection. I look forward to many years of good cutting with it.
