Museum quality: Jim Kelso

I don't know how many of you know Jim Kelso, or of him. He was mostly active in the knife field in the 80's and now he does mostly other stuff - boxes, jewelry, etc. He has made some of the most beautiful knives ever - trully musuem quality. In fact, at least one of his traditionally mounted Japanese piece made it to an imperial collection in Japan.

thanks for posting the link! While I've seen one or two of his knives before, I didn't know he had a website. 'Museum quality' is correct, Kelsos' art knives are stunning.

He did the handles/mounts and folks like Don Fogg, the late Jim Schmidt, etc... did the blades.......... :)
 
He does great collaborative work with others and is without doubt an exceptional artist. Much of what he does appeals to me very much, but some of his knives are in styles that I don't favour.
