Mushroom explosion

The pics were taken on Saturday within walking distance from our place.
There 's currently a real abundance of mushroom in the forest. In all the years, I've neverseen so many. In some part of the forest, you hardly know where to step.

I know but if you air dry it, it's not realy poisonous any more, just hallucinogenic.
However, that's what I read, personal experience is lacking here.

No, just took single mushroom pics. But I can go back and take some more pics. Have to wait until the weekend though. When I come home it's already dark now.

I thought this was going to be a thread about puff ball mushrooms. My boys LOVE finding these and making them explode (by stomping them and watching the spores be released into a big green or yellow cloud)

the 5th mushroom down looks like a parasol mushroom which are edible. there is a similar looking mushroom but it does not have a ring on the stem that is free. the spore print should be white when done on black paper.

Some really nice fungi shots! Did it recently rain there? It does that a lot here shortly after a good few days of rain. I love photographing the local fungi.

It did rain, and it's by far to warm for November. I took some more pics yesterday on an evening walk. I' ll post them tomorrow.

Cool pics, we have a lot of those little "tendril" looking fungi pop up around here too, I have no idea what they are though.

This is very cool. Do you guys have a list of safe/edible and not safe mushrooms? I know I can probably google it but I am curious if you guys used one.
