Mushroom hunting!!!

My wife and I went out mushroom hunting today for Chanterelles. It's pretty much the end of the season for them so pickings were slim. The majority of them had already turned to a mushy, slimy stew.

Ive never ate them but have seen them.Good find. Do you hunt other mushrooms?

Well, looks like steak, fries, & mushroom gravy for dinner @ Bob Evans . . . Nice shot, couldn't help but notice the "lean to" behind you. Shelter practice or just drying some "sticks" ?? Very nice knife by the way.

The lean-to I built a couple years back. Chanterelles like to grow around there so it was an ideal base camp to hang out at. Love my Kephart! Such a pleasure to use:thumbup:

Im so on the wrong coast. All i found yesterday was Enoki and Chaga.
