Morels are a springtime delicacy around here. I checked my usual spot the other day, and happened to find this little guy.

I found a few more to make a small mess. I cut off the mushroom rather than pull it up, and the Globetrotter did just fine.

I slice them in half, soak them in salt water overnight, roll in cornmeal,

And fry them.

Hot diggity! That looks Yummo SS. Mum and Gran used to take me mushy hunting when I was a wee sprat. Nothing special, just little fieldys. Probs would've eaten them too had they been prepared this way!

That little Globetrotter along with the Turok are both on the upper end of my short list of next purchases. They look like great blades..

I don't much like the taste, but I do enjoy looking for them. Although they are good in an omelet.

Look pretty darn good to me! I need to get to learning more about mushrooms this year, I'm more of a plant guy.
Thank you for sharing!

Thanks. I can say that the globetrotter is a good choice.

Thanks, Jesse. Morels are pretty easy to identify. There's a few other edible kinds, but I only trust the morels.
