Muskrat?

I've been a big fan of the muskrat pattern for quite a while. While browsing some older Case muskrats online the blade profile on these knives seems a bit different from the current pattern. Today's pattern seems to feature more of a drop point blade than the clip style that the older knives had.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Also does anyone know of a company that has ever made a locking muskrat pattern?

I think the newer model just has a different interpretation of the Turkish Clip blade. Just the back of the spine is shorter on the newer version. Are they both the same size closed? I'm not sure if all newer Case Muskrats are that way or not.

Between those pics I'd say, the top one is a #47 pattern while the bottom one seems a #18.
I'm very curious about this pattern because been a sharpening nut myself, you could try diferent results on finishing an edge having two twin blades.
