Hi everyone,

Looking for the best method to paint one of those "darkest black" paints on my knife scales. The darkest black at the time of writing is musou black. Is it possible to create a dye from paint, to dye G10 scales? Or convert it into some kind of stain for wooden scales?

What if there was a protective coating around the scale to prevent the paint from coming off? Musou black is supposed to be pretty delicate, so just painting it on the scale wouldn't last.

Paint won't stay on g10 if the knife is being used, dropped, rubbing around in your pocket. You can dye g10 with RIT dye. Alternately you could get some ultrablack carbon powder and mix with epoxy and paint that on, but the results can't be guaranteed
