An interesting take on a historic design. I like to, especially the use of the damascus and beveled the Ricasso edge.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I have been adding the bevel to the ricasso on a lot of my recent knives over the past year. Especially on these larger ones I feel it is a good may to brake up a blocky section in the line of the knife.
 
Thanks Joe! I now have an even greater appreciation for the level of difficultly and execution in Sam's version after having finally done my own. It is certainly a challenging knife.
