Hi knife nuts, my Musso brass back bowie is almost ready. Dennis riley has to put the false pins and name plate on the ebony handle and I will have another bowie. The blade length is 14 1/4" in length and the over all length is 19". If you want see other riley knives, go to www.rileycustomknives.com I'm inserting the only photo I could find on the original Musso Bowie. Bowie nuts I sure would like some feed back on my new addiation to my collection. thanks. The Bowie is finished.

That sure is one wicked-looking big honkin' bowie. I'm not a huge fan of the brass-back, but I understand it is a design element of the original and there's no doubt that Dennis' rendition here is likely as cleanly done as the photos suggest. I'd like more infor on the original Musso, if anyone could provide it.

RogerP: MR. MUSSO WAS AN ARTIST AND WRITER AND HAD ONE OF THE BEST BOWIE COLLECTIONS. BUT DOING MY RESEARCH ON HIS BRASS BACK ON THE NET I WAS ONLY ABLE TO COME UP WITH THIS PHOTO. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE MESURENTS FROM A MASTER SMITH WHO HAD THE KNIFE TO MAKE A COPY.

Damn, that's a Monster.I've been thinking about getting one of Dennis Riley's knives for awhile now.I want to get a 10 inch version of this one without the brass strap.Nice Score
