Must of been due to lack of sleep (knees are getting worse and didn't sleep much last night) but was in Gander Mountain today and after checking out the used handguns I was headed out and swung by the knife section. Saw a 345 Vantage with $20 tag in the blister pack. Picked it up, looked it over, read the back then hung it back on the peg and walked out of the store.

Got home a little while ago and got to thinking about it and unless I'm missing something $20 is a pretty darn good price for that knife. I'm thinking the best way to rectify the situation is to go back to GM and buy at least two.

The BCCI Member price on the website is about $17, so that's a darn good store price.

:)

Guess I wasn't loosing my mind afterall. Went back today and found the 345 was on the wrong peg. Actually there wan't even a peg for it or several other models stuck further back. Had them scan it and it came up $34 so I passed. Should have known $20 was too good to be true given their pricing on everything else in the store.

Yeah, GM is always highest around this area, and I havent seen a 345 in one of the local stores.

In my experience, you can generally get the price on the hook for at least one of them.
YMMV.

Correct. That's were I got the $20 price. When i returned is when I discovered that price on that hook wasn't for the knives actually on that hook but for a Buck Colleague that wasn't even in stock. Evidently they decided to quit stocking certian Buck models. As those models got down to one or two they just stuck them on this one hook and gave their old hook/spot over to a Gerber model. That's something else I noticed. GM must stock 6-8 Gerber models for each Buck. I'd like to see them carry more Buck models but at their prices I probably wouldn't be buying them even if they did. Increase their inventory and lower their prices a bit and I'd give them some business.
