Hi all!

Prior last month I haven't bought a knife for 4 years. In past 2 month's my haul is:

Spyderco Tenacious
Spyderco Ladybug 3 H1 Salt
Victorinox Tinker
Victorinox Soldier Alox ( I already had one but since this model is phasing out and this is my favourite SAK)
Victorinox Pioneer Solo
Leatherman Kick + Micra combo
Haller Karambit
Spyderco Byrd Starling
Kershaw Needs Work

I think this covers for not getting a knife for a four years... but I am having real bad urges to buy Kershaw Lahar now, even its 2nd hand and I did bought Needs Work from same guy so I trust him.

Should I stop resisting urge and buy one more knife, Kershaw Lahar and put other knives on hold till next year ( Byrd Robin or persistence ). Lahar is pretty unique in here and I've read a lot good thing of it. Second hand Lahar "used but condition as new" Worth $60 including shipping and Handeling and possible break down of domestic peace for day or two?

Buy it. I'm in the position now where I can start buying them again and I started with the kershaw od-1 and I am probably gonna get a sog stitch ll this weekend.

*sighs* I lost to my urges and bought it... Oh, well I got it same price as I got my Tenacious... i.e. Either I got Lahar mega bargain or I was ripped off by Tenacious :P

You wont be disappointed. The Lahar is one of the best big knife values on the market. Other companies who sell VG-10 knives w/ G-10 handles charge well over $100, and the Lahar is larger than most of them in every way.

I've seen a lot good things about Lahar. One thing I like that it doesn't have torsion bar opening mechanism, making one less part prone to break, increasing it reliability over time. G-10 and VG-10 is very good combo and quality of knife really seems to be off the chart with its price range what I've looked around in here.

Heck I don't really have use for it, but I am glad to have it... That pretty much sums it up ^^ I could have bought A lot worse like Mtech...

I thought the same thing...:D

Beautiful blade and great features and materials for an EXCELLENT price.

That said, I traded mine 2 days ago for another Kershaw. Just too big a knife for my EDC rotation.

Woulda been a decent knife to keep in one of the family rigs but I prefer fixed blades for those.

Get the Lahar and the NRG 2, look on ebay for really good prices on the NRG 2. I have both and am carrying a pimped Lahar now. Both very very fine knives. keepem sharp
