Mustard and vinegar

This is my first Becker knife and my first time to try the forced patina but I think it turned out ok.

Looks good! Be sure to seal the area under the scales

I soaked the whole knife in hot vinegar for 20 minutes after the mustard treatment. Then washed the vinegar off and dried it off. Lastly I coated it with olive oil.

PS...Does anyone here have experience with catsup/ketchup on a steel blade?...Cheers.
 
Nicely done sir! You can play around with hot sauces with different ph levels to get darker or lighter patina....
