I'm going to open a small window of opportunity to get signed up for one of these. If you want one, shoot me a DM and we can discuss the details. DO NOT post your email in the thread. I'm requiring a 30% up front deposit on these. That helps with some of the overhead, such as the steel and waterjet service from New Jersey Steel Baron, heat treatment from Peters Heat Treating, consumables from Red Label Abrasives, shipping, and importation fees, etc. Remaining balance will be due upon completion, which should be expected to be at least six months out. All payments will by via PayPal invoice. Deposits are non refundable if you cause your order to be cancelled, so make sure it's what you want. If I cause your order to be cancelled, I will refund your deposit.
The image below reflects base price, which includes natural wood scales. Natural wood is dirt cheap, and you will be able to select from a variety of species that I can get from my main supplier, Bell Forest Products. Micarta, the next cheapest of my commonly used handle materials, adds at minimum a $7 upcharge, but I am willing to use anything you are willing to pay the costs for if I can get it to my shop in a size suitable for the build.
The blank as cut by NJSB is the universal shown below, but there are many blade shapes that can be chosen. The original models' blade shapes are shown, but really you can request any shape that can be drawn onto the universal blank, and at no extra charge I will cut it that was for you by hand before grinding the bevels.
I plan to let NJSB know by Thursday January 2nd how many units of each model to cut for me.
