So we're working along, grinding, rope cutting, etc. and in walks this guy and says...."Hey, how much for this bandsaw?"

I tell him "It ain't for sale...!"

"But I'll give you this lignum-vitae-handled, made-from-a-file knife for $12"

Oops! that was supposed to go to .......dare I say?

He DID insist that I bring it and show it around.....

What can I say? The dude really liked it.

I showed him how good it cut free-hanging rope and all....one lil' swipe....barely made a "ting" as it sailed through....

Dan, didn't he talk you down to $10? :o We all told the guy that there was a fella out there with a deadly flower who wouldn't like it if he bought that knife but he just wouldn't listen. So sad... :D

I heard the guy counter offered $4...said that he didn't actually have any rope that needed cutting but figured it might do for cutting up the clumps in the kitty litter box to make it easier to shovel them out...and that he could duct tape the handle to get rid of those funny curves someone had ground into it.

hey, i sent 2$ for that dang knife and i expect it to be in good condition when it gets here.
im gonna need it to pry lug nuts off of stripped bolts at the junkyard.

Did that $2 include postage? If not, the you have to figure it might actually end up around $18...no wonder it was a better buy to the garage sale guy.

Okay, I get it now. Hitting myself up side the head.  :grumpy:
Was wondering how Bruise posted with only three figures.:D

Ya'll got me beat...but then, I'm busy stropping my knife!

Ray....I think that's the longest cuss word I've ever seen!

:D :p

Danny,

Glad you joined us at convention via CD. Really dug those pajamas.

maybe somebody could chime in on the abuse we gave that lil' lignum knife.....:D

Well, its so sharp that it cut the free hanging rope in everybody's hands first swipe. The rope would just kinda pop apart.

I got the other lignum handeld one, Kris Kringle. Not 'as' sharp bladewise, but cooler than penguins bums, it is. Cuts paper effortlessly. Your were right about the 'stabby stabby' motion with it, Pen. Now I hafta go get another cardboard box to ship stuff to DIJ!

Pen - You were talking about the knife the garage sale shopper wanted? The throwing contest at least proved it could take a beating...well, mostly.

Which means that it's eventual owner probably won't be able to detect it at all...whew!

Dang, I must've missed it.

Nasty, he'll never know what hit it, or what it hit;)

He must know by now we are pulling his leg.

I'm not so sure he'll miss the concrete block testing marks though.

The gentleman of course refers to the blocks upon which Dan placed the target. Personally, I thougt the bolts holding the backstop made a greater "impression" on the handle.
