My '08 Blade Score!!!

Well I hit the trough pretty hard this year, more than I wanted to. It was a great time to be had by everyone. It is my favorite time of the year.

The Competition Blades were really BAD AZZ! I got two of the Jack Hammers and two Hell Razors, two Culti's from the grab bag, an EDC frosted Blade, a 2008 Special Edition Battle Mistress and Steel Heart for my friend and some other goodies below.

This is a knife Ban did for me and he gave it to Kenny Rowe who brought it to Blade for me!!! Fusion Steel Heart with a gorgeous Saber Grind and burl grips!!! Ban you are just getting too good!!! Make sure you check additional photos of this Steel Heart in the next thread. Couldn't get anymore photos in this one.

Here are a couple of photos of the Custom Automatic Knighthawk from Reese Weiland! Black Mastodon with Norris Damascus, Gold Screws, etc. Very Nice Piece!!! Shown with another knife BAN did for me, a Meaner Street for size comparison!

Thats right folks, this is a Minature! 4 1/2" of Solid INFI made from a SAR 5. It is exactly to scale and a exact copy of the Busse Logo Fusion Steel Heart!!!

Here it is with the sheath sitting on the blade of a regular Steel Heart! The sheath made by Kenny Rowe fits perfect and has two tiny earth magnets that hold the blade in place without a snap or strap!!!

Holy crap!!! :eek::eek: that Steel Heart is beautiful and the miniature is something else...wow great set up :thumbup: and very nice sheaths too...

That poor Sar! Please tell me that he was able to make something out of the rest of it? I can't remember the original thread. Wasn't this a piece he cut off, and did something with?

you need an in hand....er....in finger pic with that mini.
 
i was about to ask if ban had thinned out the FSH....the tang looked a little anorexic....


now i see why!!!!

Guys, it is not two knives, a big steel heart and a mini twin. All photos are of the same knife!!! I can get two fingers on the mini. I called Jerry over and said, "I'm pissed, I got a warranty problem. I accidently left my Steel Heart in my pants when my wife did the laundry and this is what came out". I showed him the mini, he cracked up and he loved it. Everyone there could not believe the workmanship. It does do tricks on your eyes. Jerry had made his daughter Katie a mini and we were comparing them. I only had one minor problem with it. Don't put it in your pocket with your room card...... the magnets erased the card and I couldn't get in my room, had to get a new set. :D :D :D
 
:eek: OMG! That mini is amazing. I would love to see some in-process pics. Can you please tell us more about how the project came about? That knife deserves it's own thread on the Custom Makers forum.

I had been after Jerry to do a MINI and you know how that went! Two weeks! So I thought why not take an inexpensive INFI knife and make a mini out of it. I talked it over with BAN and he said he would give it a try. I bought an SS4, the cheapest INFI thing at the time and sent it to him. Well his first try, he didn't like that much so he said he was going to take the SAR 5 he had and make me one. He kept the other one. Nice, but not near as nice as mine. I said I want the saber grind to give the appearance of a large knife. BAN pretty much cussed me the whole time he was making it and don't expect him to do any more. It is just amazing work. Even Jerry agreed. I introduced Ban to my friend Reese Weiland who has been doing customs for years and made this custom for me for Blade! They clicked and Ban got some great suggestions from Reese. So I wouldn't be surprised to see some knives coming from Ban before too long. Here are a couple of photos of the automatic that Reese made for me. Black Mammoth Ivory, damascus blade and bolsters, gold screws, blue titanium liners and release with Red Garnet. It is called the Knighthawk, Very, very nice. A triple grind modified Tanto.
