So back around 2004 I got a LA Griffe neck knife I wore on a piece of para cord day and night I loved it. Well at the time I was working as a bouncer in a bar needless to say an incident took place and while dealing with 1 guy his buddy tried to put a knife in my chest well it hit my Griffe and slid off just giving me a small cut I was able to land a solid punch to the guys face which put him on his ass and he and his buddy then took off by this time the other bouncers and police arrived. I to this day have never got my knife back from the police but damn I wish I had it back you could see the point where the other knife hit the kydex and slid off and then into an evidence bag and that was the last I saw of it . As for my cuts yes I could have used afew stitches but duct tape worked fine and I didn't want to leave work cuz I didn't want anyone to think they got the best of me....lol..and yes the story is longer but who wants to hear all that?

WOW! Glad it save your life! Sad you didn't get it back from the police. Thank you for sharing this story.

No reason I know of as to why they would not return your knife that was not used in the incident, unless it is illegal in your state/area to have carried it concealed and it was seized.

It was in Maryland and since the knife that did it seemed to disappear I think it was kept for evidence incase the knife ever turned up so they could try and match the tip markings or honestly it may have been illegal for concealed fixed blades in MD....I'm honestly not sure and didn't mess with it too much I was younger and dumber

Being it was 2004 the evidence could have been disposed of, but a friend husband committed sucked with a Colt 38. The gun was at the time of sucide was taken by the sheriff. After it was determined sucide, and not another cause. The gun was returned to the widow. Years later she wanted to sell the gun, I offered to clean it, it was still in the evidence bag, and let's say the task was a challenge. The sheriff did not clean off the mess.

BTW did you ever got to the COP SHOP, (police station) and ask how you should go about getting your knife back?

The guy probably thought you were Superman when the knife didn't go into your chest.

Skintanium armor...Anyone know what I'm referring too?

"I am a battle droid; no knife can penetrate my skintanium armour."
That episode also had "Now stand back, I gotta practice my stabbing."

Ah, Roberto. :D

That's it! That episode is a great classic. I love it when they're all in the 2'x2' closet and that's when Roberto decided to practice his stabbing.

I sure wish you were able to get that knife back.

Too funny -- I was thinking the same thing!

Lazy Otter, I'm glad the Emerson was there to save your life but it sure sucks that you were not able to get it back. Maybe you should try pennypincher's advice and go down to the station and see if you can re-acquire it.

Lol....I've never even thought what that guy thought. I on the other hand went and cleaned the s*#t out of my pants the 1st chance I got and thanked God I had that knife on.

I can't wait to get another La Griffe to go with my od green and black cqc-8 prestige and my glock 27 with od green frame and black slide, gonna put a piece of od paracord on it so everything matches. My new edc carry along with a swamprat 411 with od green kydex sheath and lanyard.so excited pics to come when the La Griffe gets here.
