Here are some pictures of my 100th knife in the process of making it. I have been honored to have my work and this knife featured in the upcoming book 100 top knifemakers, published by Dr. David Darom and Dennis Greenbaum. It was a real pleasure working with both of these gentlemen. I expect to see the book released early 2006, this is the third book on knifemakers that Dr. Darom has done. Thanks for taking a look......Richard Wright

Richard,
Stunning as usual! Can you give us some other details like dimensions ect and maybe any other pics that you might have?
Thanks,
Chuck

Wow, that's really gorgeous. The vines on the liner are stunning. And the design-- i really like that backspike! Congrats!

I should have listed these also, The both blades are forged to shape "Rados" Turkish twist Damascus, the large blade is 5 1/2" long, the short skull crusher is 1 1/4", both automatic. Both back bars and also the liners are titanium as well as the visable screws. Front and rear bolsters are a composite of Rados Turkish and Sterling silver, scales are abalone heart.

Guys, most of you would know of Richard's work, but in case he is an unfamiliar maker to you, I suggest you take a moment to browse his website: www.RichardSWright.com

I have had the extreme pleasure of working with Rich on his portfolio of folders for a while now. Each one of them knocks my socks off!

For instance: This particular leaf-spring auto is a multiblade with liner locks on each end. Opening for each blade is achieved by a simple bolster release. Press upwards on the bolster and out they come. But..... it's an ambidextrous model. BOTH sides of the knife can trigger the mechanism. That's four working bolsters....

Aside from the artistry and incredible filework/carving, his mechanisms work so effortlessly and cleanly, that it just makes you smile from ear-to-ear if you have an opportunity to handle them. :D

So, anyway, I want to welcome him aboard BF with a congrats and howdy as well.

I'll show you some of his other knives later this evening.... ;) Thanks, Rich!

Work like that stops me dead in my tracks.

Congratulations on your milestone!

Richard-

With a knife like this, David and I are the ones who are so very pleased to have you on board. David has already finished your 2-page spread... Needless to say, with this exciting knife and your really well-done pics, your spread turned out just great...A wonderful and interesting addition to the book.

Small wonder why I've been such a big fan of your marvelous work.

BTW-Just to set the record straight, so that there's no confusion, the book will be entitled "100 Custom Knives in the Making"...

Dennis Greenbaum

Richard,

Fantastic work, another beautiful knife.

It was great to finally meet you in Las Vegas.
