Today the 12" AK I won in the auction came in the mail. Durba made it and he did an excellent job on it. The horn handle is completely black and nicely wide. This is my first horn handled khukuri and I'm looking forward to putting it to some work.
The one problem is that the karda is wedged in so tight that I can't pull it out. Maybe a few days adjusting to the climate in my neck of the woods will loosen the scabbard a bit to where I can get the karda out. Since I can get the chakma out and hardly use the kardas, this problem is very minor.
I would like to thank the person who donated this khuk for helping out one of the good guys and giving me the opportunity to acquire such a wonderful work of art.
