I recently joined the forum and just noticed that HI has a sub-forum here. I've had this 15" AK for about six years. It primarily rides in the RV as our "camp knife/machete/hatchet" and has never let us down. Definitely gets attention at the campsite, too. It tends to stand out against the forest of cheap Coleman hatchets!

The blade is pretty heavily stained from use, but I've yet to see a hint of rust or corrosion anywhere.

It looks like a good trusty companion and it's in very good shape. What's the weight?

The first blade I got from Bill was a 15" AK. It rode in my truck for years. That knife saw a lot of hard use.

It underwent a long and inadvertent immersion test, which I documented in this thread. It came out still going strong but the sheath and accessories were goners. Just recently I got a new sheath for it from the "Kami Medical Fund" project, and now it is ready to ride again. If my experience is any indication, you have many many years of service left in that knife.
