My 16" Gelbu Special arrived today and ........

.......it exceeds my expectations. The balance is great and it weighs only 14 ounces. This is the look and feel that I was trying for when I made my JLC Special (for cave use only). The scabbard is well made and I fixed the minor tear using 5 minute epoxy colored with black shoe dye. It looks like I don't need to make a cardboard scabbard for this one (joke).
