of course it is...

and if you put it in a rubber mask, even more so...

I've had the peanut-butter grips on since I got it...didnt care for the shiny black grips especially with the tan sheath and black coating. But I stippled the black ones today...and with the kydex and stripped metal...looks awesome! Amazing what a few mods will do sometimes.

Looking good thrill, The paint on my 16 has started to chip a little bit at the edge. Just a matter of time now before i strip it.

I've seen a lot of stippled scales in my short time on BFC, but NEVER any that looked as great as these. The grips, stripping, and really awesome sheath shape elevate this thing hardcore. Nice job.

thanks, my poor 16's coating never stood a chance...it never cut a thing before it went in the chemicals.

Thanks! I was trying to match the grip's color/texture to the kydex...came fairly close. I've been practicing WasatchDan's ''woodpecker'' stippling technique instead of the heavier patterns I was doing.

Very nice. I plan to stippel my grips also. Did you make the sheath? I looks good. I have played with kydex a little. But yours looks better then any of mine.

Nice, Thrill. That 16 is looking good with your kydex sheath. That's a nice little package.

I gotta take some pics of my 16 tomorrow, if it's sunny outside. I Cliched it yesterday and added my wood scales. It looks great.

Mines getting stripped and she knows it!

Nice job on the kydex pants and stippling, did you sand the handles?

Thanks, and please do, I always like ur stuff
Looks good. I've always preferred the less aggressive stipple jobs like this.
Thanks...would look even better onna 17 ;) ....SOON!

yeah, kydex gets better every sheath...my first one was totally useless, 2nd and 3rd were useable, my 4th and this 5th one finally are up to where I'm halfway pleased by it.

Thanks...yeah, scuffed it up a bit with 100grit, then used my 3m extra-fine sanding sponge on it, then buffed it with the non-grit side of the sponge.

About the sheath, I made a sheath for my 9, and if y'all saw the thread, it didnt come out well. So I used it to practice my riveting...then took it apart and reused the kydex for this sheath.

Now for the Kismet part...when I got it all together there was a hole from the previous sheath in a spot where I couldn't re-rivet or cut out. It was half on and half off the line I needed to cut around my rivets to shape the 16 sheath. So I took the grinder to it and scalloped it out. That scallop combined with the thumbrest just so happened to create a unique "Shark-Fin'' look that I love.

So, sometimes screw-ups can turn into lucky accidents!

I didn't see the 'fin' first time around, but damn, that's a real nice touch! Gives it that "This is my knife and if you mess with me your head will look like it's sheath!" badass attitude!

Solid set up dude, from sheath to stippling you seem to have it down. I would be proud of that work if it was mine lol. Keep it up.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words. Im always my own worst critic...Im never quite satisfied with my work LOL

I have a long ways to go to get where i wanna be, but I reckon Im doing OK considering I'd never tried any of this before Feb 13th ;) So much inspiration on this forum, it's impossible (for me at least) Not to get the bug to try this stuff for yourself! LOL Every time I finish a project or (semi)master a skill, someone posts something new that makes me say "Dang! I Gots to try that!''

Very well said, I feel the same way.

Freaking sweet, from top to bottom, bro! That's all I have to say, I'm way impressed & a little jealous! Gonna have to try that stippling myself, good thing the tweeners come with an extra set of scales!
