I figured that I ought to show you all something very special I received for my 18th birthday. It was a complete surprise to me and I owe thanks to my dad for that. In a way, it celebrates three important events in my life: the date of my Eagle Scout Court of Honor, my graduation of High School, AND my 18th birthday.
The knife cannot be properly captured in a picture.....and mine certainly do it no justice!
Lamont Coombs, a good friend of mine, from Bucksport, Maine is likely the most talented and versatile knifemaker I know on a personal level. He does great neck knives, sweet tactical EDC's, traditional Randall-inspired hunters, slick fighters and everything in between. His fit and finish is as good as it gets and I rarely have ever handled a sharper fixed blade.
Well, enough talking, here it is!
Showing off the wonderful sheath that compliments the knife so well!
A simple in hand photo:
An attempt to show off the nice lines of the black linen micarta handle....
And the special laser engraving....
Please ask any questions you would like!
