I figured that I ought to show you all something very special I received for my 18th birthday. It was a complete surprise to me and I owe thanks to my dad for that. In a way, it celebrates three important events in my life: the date of my Eagle Scout Court of Honor, my graduation of High School, AND my 18th birthday.

The knife cannot be properly captured in a picture.....and mine certainly do it no justice!

Lamont Coombs, a good friend of mine, from Bucksport, Maine is likely the most talented and versatile knifemaker I know on a personal level. He does great neck knives, sweet tactical EDC's, traditional Randall-inspired hunters, slick fighters and everything in between. His fit and finish is as good as it gets and I rarely have ever handled a sharper fixed blade.

Well, enough talking, here it is!:D

Showing off the wonderful sheath that compliments the knife so well!

Congratulations on your achievement and getting a fine knife to commemorate it.

Lamont Coombs is a good guy and a talented knifemaker.

Congratulations on ALL.

A very nice knife and sheath package. Is this your first custom?

Kevin, in a word, no.....I have many, many more custom knives. This one, however, is in a class of it's own due to the complete surprise I had receiving such an incredible piece of cutlery. It really is hard to describe how perfect this knife is!:D

That's great.
The custom knife community could use a lot more young collectors like you.

Great looking knife and congrats on the Eagle Scout and Birthday. Maybe a nice Shadow box display would do it justice.

Congratulations on your achievements, your birthday and on your knife from Lamont! It is a Beauty!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! :)

Here are a few more pictures.....enjoy!

I really cannot over state how much I love this knife. It melts into my hand and the blade shape is incredible to behold with the polished spine and satin hollow grinds!

WOW!! That's really unique and something special. Congratulations on all of your achievements. Your dad must be very proud of you

Big time congratulations to you my friend!! You have a lot to be very proud of!! I am very proud of you too. Happy 18th B-day!!

Happy birthday, whenever it was. That looks like a nice knife and the shape is pretty appealing to me.

I agree with Kevin that more kids need to get into custom knives. Its been way to hard to find people near my age who are into this. I live in NY though so maybe thats the problem.

That's a very nice gift!

And congratulations with your 18th birthday!

Kind regards,

Jos

Congratulations Eagle Scout!!!Looks like the perfect reward for your achievement.

Shawn
