The tweeners have been on my short list for awhile, was just hard to decide between the 15 and the drop point. Sunday I just decided I have some nice woods knives, but am light on trailing points (which I love). So, enough yadda yadda yadda, here's a pic with my edc!

Welcome to the Becker club! The 15 is a great blade, which I'm sure you'll be thrilled with.

Hey rpn.....

Thank you for your purchase of a Becker Knife......The blade of the 15 is a brainchild of the Great Jerry Fisk and tweaked by Tooj with a handle by me......Jerry is one of the finest crafty artists alive....He is fun to Google btw.......I have always felt awed by the fact that Jerry has done the collaboration with me on the Five and Fifteen....... The Five is probably the most under appreciated blade in the Becker-KaBar line up.........Both are extraordinarily Fast and light in the hand.......Great choice methinks..... I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do....... Welcome to the neighborhood......Stick around there are some really good folks here on a regular basis.......

Ethan

Thanks for the welcome all.

Most of my knives these days are Scrap Yards, Swamp Rats and a have a biiiiiit of an addiction with Koyote Knives.;):D

Lot of the guys in the Yard buy Beckers and you guys sure bring bang for the buck! I like 1095 alot and the sheath is nicer than I thought it would be. Handle is nicely done and I wondered what grivory would feel like- me likee! Did I imagine that Rowen was doing the blades/heat treatment? I don't see their name on the blade...

I'll will say you have some good dealers Ethan! Ordered from Tomars Sunday night (waaaay upstate NY) and came home today (CT) to this fine knife!

Next up- the 16!!! :D

rpn - I'd love to see a pic of the full collection, and I've definitely wanted a 15 for a while. Congrats on the sweet purchase!

rpn- Welcome. The BK15 is a GREAT knife, as is any Becker. I have a lot of them, & not a bad one in the bunch. You REALLY need a BK5 to go with the BK15.

Hey rpn......

Although Shon Rowen does a great job on the blades he does for ESSE he does not do the Becker blades with the exception of the Becker/Doug Ritter blade collaboration......I am an admierer of Shon and his work.....

All other Beckers are made in Olean, New York by Ka-Bar.......

Thanks for the kind words.......

Ethan

You have great taste sir, 2 badass knives in that picture for sure. Welcome welcome, the Becker bug can be pretty severe.

The BK-5 is my favorite knife of all time.

I am constantly going on about my 5. My favorite knife, period. I use it in the kitchen every day. Of course it is also at home in the bush. It is just a joy to use and I had a lot of fun modding it. I plan on getting the little brother, too. I love this thing.

That's a lot of what's around these days...always stuff coming and going though...you guys know how it is...just had a big sell off of some nice knifes to fund a CZ pistol..that hurt, but it's a nice firearm and glad I got it when I did I guess!

Went out for a short hike and thought I would break it in. I like! I'm really pleased with the grind, the handle is great for me, had great control with the choil and without. Those are some of the easiest notches I've done in awhile. Did great with green and dried wood. Haven't even gotten in the kitchen where I figure it will shine even more. Great blade! Look forward to checking out the 16.

Great pair of reliable and functional (good slicers) tools you have there.

And..it cuts! Smashed taters and pork, here I come! Crappy pic with the pork, but it was a very efficient cutter.

Boy, I'm loving this knife! Most excited about this than any knife in awhile! Forgot to add when I was out yesturday I pushed the tip pretty hard and saw it held up no problem. Also love the lively feel to it like Ethan mentioned. Before marriage and kids I spent a lot of years in martial arts and can't pick up a blade without thinking of how it handles. It's a natural slasher and has a great feel. Someone from the Yard let me check out his Spyderco Phil Wilson Southfork which has an amazing feel, but as a user, I like the BK more!

Very pleased with this buy!! :D:thumbup:
