Long time lurker, new poster.

I always see everyone posting their photo's here, and figured I'd give it a go.
I'm new to knifemaking, and here's a pic of my 1st fixed blade knife.

I've got a dozen folders under my belt, but am beginning to realize just how much quicker I can make a fixed blade.

There's no makers mark on it yet.

It's just over 6" long, 3/16" O-1 with a tapered tang, and maple burl scales.

I liked this pattern enough that I am using it to make some scale-less neck knives from ats-34.

What do you all think? (and I know the photography is pretty poor)

Lookin' Good! Sweet wood....Looks like it could be abused..its burly!
Thanks.... And it could take some abuse, she's pretty stout.

By the way, I think you named it for me.

Burly... or B.L.K. for Burly Little Knife...

I'm making another one real similar to this one now, but out of some Ferguson Damascus.
I've been playing with hollow grinding, and am coming to the conclusion that it's substantially easier than flat grinding.

What are your preferences, Flat, or Hollow?

I flat grind everything I do. I've never tried hollow grinding because it looks difficult and I prefer flat ground knives anyway. convex grinding is probably easiest IMHO.
