My 1st Folder....

It's ugly, and it's heavy, but here is the first folder I've managed to make. The bug to do one came over me around Christmas time, and I've goofed with it a little every day since. I learned a lot on this one! It tough for a guy who goes to the forge with an idea, and makes a knife out of it, to go to this level of planning (spelled "stumbling") Now I can really appreciate the prices of well made folders! Many thanks go out to Kit Carson for all his pointers!
The blade is 3" with an overall of 7 1/4". The next ones will be smaller, just figure I'd better learn on something large enough to make a few mistakes! :-)

Sorry, I forgot the specs. The blade is 1084/15N20, basketweave pattern. the ladder mokume is some left over Devin Thomas stock. Liners are 15N20, handles are red jig bone. Screws througout.
