My 1st INFI is in my house!

Well, after a little bit of waiting, my CGFBM from Robstar arrived yesterday from Canada. I've already done a real shotty job of putting a "D Guard" on it, using KnifeAddictAK's fantastic tutorial. Just wanted to share a couple of photos, and mention that I am now officially hooked - I've got INFI Fever! Any word on when Jerry is going to announce what is coming up next? -Dan

What a way to start!!! Now lock up your wallet and hide the cat :eek: because it gets to be a pretty wild ride down this slippery slope of INFIddiction!! Congrats BTW! Nice looking FBM. Will it be a "USER"? :D:D :thumbup:

"Les Stroud needs some INFI." Hah yea that would be awsome to see les go a week with his camera gear and a big chunk of INFI.

Yeah, you almost got your hands on it before I did! Glad that there's no animousity there :)

Thanks everyone. I went ahead and upgraded to a "basic" membership. I'm sure I'll go Gold before too long. If anything, because the little tiny avatar is kind of embarrassing!
 
Congrats on the new blade! She looks great.

Don't worry about that D-guard, it looks good to me. After doing it a couple times, you'll get the hang of how much to tighten the strands up. I had to do it twice before I realized I was tightening them too much, and wondering why they weren't coming out looking as good as KnifeAddictAK's pictures.

Congrats again on picking up a sweet blade!:thumbup:
 
I definately had a few spots too tight... I pushed/pulled/twisted until some of the slack went to the tight spots, and its a little better now. I may redo it one of these days! Anyways, it feels good to have my first INFI, and I can't wait to pick up a couple more! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Tank Buster!
 
I share your joy. Just got my first INFI about a week ago, then added 3 more to join it! :D INFI is some dangerous stuff! It scares my bank account like you wouldn't believe :eek:
