I've been lurking round here for couple of years now, and finally have the means to begin my collection. I picked up a 12 inch AK from a DOTD a while back, loose sheathe and a supposedly cracked horn handle that looks great to me.
Well I saw this video where a guy had a Kabar heavy bowie and he was splitting wood with it by 'batoning' it through the wood by hitting the back of it with another log. It dulled the blade pretty rapidly but I figured if I batoned using a 12" AK, it would not only work better, but stand up to the punishment better.
Anyways, I tried it with my little AK and it just laughed and asked for more. I tested the edge after a while and to my great surprise, it was actually sharper than when I got it in the mail. So, giddy with excitement from hopefully having a magical khukri that gets sharper the more you use it, (like the ones I've read about here) I beat it up some more and it got even sharper, finally sharp enough to slice paper.
So all in all, it's been great and this knife has proven to me that this company is as great as I ever could have hoped.
Also, I here-by dub my 12" AK Tillie, the little khukri who could.
