All I can say is WOW! Now I know what all the hype is about. After years of moving up the food chain I finally broke down and bought my 1st CRK, a large plain Sebenza 21. I've had it about a week and a half and I can't put it down. It's been a long time since I could say that about a knife. I know they are not for everyone but for me I can't say enough good things about it. It is simple elegance and a precision tool. I'm just very happy and wanted to share that and let those who are considering buying one know that they should just do it. You have nothing to lose and it may just surprise you!

Congrats! You picked a good one to start with. My first CRK was a plain 21 as well.

Only thing wrong with buying a Sebenza is that you're going to want more. :)

As someone who just purchased his second, welcome to the Club, brother. They aren't for everyone, but when you get it, you Get It.

So, take care of it, and it'll take care of you!

I'm already saving for a small and thinking about what I can sell. This is not good.

I've had 5 CRKs in total. As far as I'm concerned, they definitely live up to the hype. The plain 21 was my favorite of all the different models, the ergos are great on it. I no longer own any CRKs, but it's only because my preferences went a different direction. Congrats on your first and probably not last Sebenza.

Congrats, welcome to the club! Alas, there's really no turning back after you pop your CRK cherry. Next you gotta try an Insingo Sebenza, or an Umnumzaan!

my dealer placed another order with CRK so I cant wait to see the Mnandi as well. small 21 for sure as my son likes them also. thanks for the replies.

Even with today's equipment and technology it takes a high skill level and degree of finesse to achieve the tolerances built into every CRK,which is what I appreciate and enjoy most about them.

Congrats on your purchase and may you use it in good health for many many years.

Gratuitous pics....

Welcome to the CRK fan club. There are lots of members of the CRK fan club around here. Check out the CRK sub forum if you have not already. Lots of good information over there but be warned......that gang over there will tempt you to buy more and more CRKs.

Good for you, mw! It takes some guys a bit to warm up to the CRK's because of the "hype." I didn't have that problem... after I bought my first one, I ended up with 13 more some how! Just a warning: They can be addictive! Enjoy...

Here's a particular favorite of mine, just for sh!ts and g!ggles:
