Gday folks,

This year, before heading back to Australia after the Blade show, I was fortunate to be able to spend some quality time with 2 of the ABS’s finest in Bill Burke and Bruce Bump.

I spent a week with Bill forging and testing/destructing 52100 and making mosaic damascus and then took a drive up to Bruce’s place for a week to learn slip joint folder construction and how to make the feather pattern in damascus.

Here is my 1st the slip joint constructed with Bruce with the blade from a loaf I did with Bill. It is also the first folder I have pinned & peined with no screws. Bolsters and liners are 416 stainless and scales are mammoth ivory.

Special thanks go out to Bill and Bruce for their guidance and a fun time.

Great looking knife! I like the gently sway on it as well as the blade design. It has an old fashioned look I really like.

Keep up the good work!

Robert

I recognize that slippie. Very good mix of the "Three Bs"
Kaye and I enjoyed having you here for a week. The grandkids are still talking about crocodiles. Loved your outback stories.
Have you worked on the feather bowies yet?

Gday mate,
I think the grandkids outdid me on the story telling!!!!!!!
After much procrastination, the feather bowies ended up becoming a feather fighter, hunter and folder. May do the 3 as a set yet..........You havent done that yet have ya??????

Cheers Bruce

Hey Bruce,

That is a great looking folder. I hope that you had as much fun being here as I had having you. As Far as the three B's wouldn't that have to be the three BB's?

Really nice, Bruce.

Looks like you too full advantage of your time here.
That's more than a lot of people who live here can say!
