So, I'm gonna get a ZT 0200, IF i can find a PE one ebay, or a reputable online knife dealer for around $130..00 w/ shipping included, and I came to ask myself a question, should I just wait and save up for a 0300 series? I do like AO, so that's a moot point. They seem to me to be pretty similar in terms of size, shape, overall characteristics, and what have you. Anyone online that owns both or has owned both that could make a recommendation of one over the other, or if they had to start from scratch and could only get one which it would be?

I own both. IMO get a 200 first you won't regret it. It is one heck of alot of knife for the money. Don't get me wrong, I love me 300s too, but, I reach for the 200 way more often. The 200 carries really nice for such a big knife and it flips oh so sweet. The 200 also wins out on handle ergos. It sits in your hand like it was made for you. I will go so far as to say it is the most comfortable grip I have ever encountered and I have owned the vast majority of the Spyderco line, at least handled most of the BM line and currently own nearly the whole recent Kershaw line up.

I agree. For the money you are better off getting the 0200. It will open just about as fast as the 0300 for a lot less money.

hi,i own both and i love both.it comes down to what you can afford.the 0200 i just recently bought impressed me so much i posted a thread here.its a killer knife with a super sturdy liner lock.i paid 128 of the bay.i have the tan and green 300 series and am amazed by those as well.they give strider a run for their money.the titanium frame lock is sweet and the speedsafe blade flys out with authority.just remember both are large knives and some people wont carry them everyday.but for me if i had to choose id go for the 300 series in green.the quality is just about as good as it gets!!!!

I'd personally pick the 0200. I've only seen the handles in person so far (the blade is being regrond), but it feels very solid for the price. The handles are shaped very well, too.

Another +1 for the 0200. Nothing wrong with the 030x, but I find the 0200 to feel better in my hand and carry better in my pocket.

another +1 for the 0200 , it is a fine knife and a must have in the ZT lineup, and it should prob. be the first.:thumbup::thumbup:

Another for the 200, IMHO it is more comfortable in hand, due to it being slimmer. But I must admit the 300 is cooler. :D

I got the 0200 because of the nice long thumb ramp and edge length. IMO it's one of the best designs out there. The 0300 is nice, but doesn't do anything to really catch my attention. For a nice framelock there are other knives that would fit my hand better.
