my 2008 FSH SE is recurved!!!

i just got my FSH SE from the humpaganzaa, and i noticed a funny thing about my blade......


it is recurved....not supposed to be, but i guess the grinder kind of overdid it when establishing the edge bevel......


i could tell right away from eyeballing it, and when i put the edge on a flat surface, it confirmed it......

not necessarily a good or bad thing, i just don't like recurves because they are harder to sharpen for me......


anyways, did anyone else's blades come with an unexpected recurve????


i also got a 2008 SFNO SE in the ganza and it also had a slight recurve, just not as bad as the FSH......
 
One of the Randalls that I snagged recently has a subtle recurve:

It's not my photo, but it is a photo of the knife that I now own. The blade is 0.375 inches thick and eleven inches long. It's called the Sasquatch, and is one of Doug Kenefick's dealer specials that Randall makes.

that is an awesome piece, but needs to be swung by a man the size of Joe Jacoby or bigger!

Very nice Large Sasquatch, gatorzingo!!! I live the handles. Mine are White Micarta. Of the Randall dealer specials, I like Doug Kenefick's Sasquatch the most.

I have a Small Sasquatch on the way, with a gorgeous piece of stag, no less:

Yes this a Busse knife thread, but what the hey. The small RMK Sasquatch is nice, but, the Large Sasquatch just has "that" feel to it. I have had a matching pair, and another comming, but I still love the the large RMK Sasquatch. Doug Kenefick is the RMK dealer for the Sasquatch. A great guy to deal with.
