The 25 is a terrific knife. I had mine with me all day today and like it more every time in use it. I recently put a new edge on mine with my Wicked Edge. I went 17 degrees per side. Edge is holding up great. To me that is the ideal angle for the 25.

Enjoy!

That's really beautiful.......... the pictures look like a "2014 CRK Calendar." Great job on the photography. :)

Thanks guestwho101, I am sure it wasn't me but it was a nice night for a photograph the light was really beautiful.

I agree with all of your comments on the 25. I know I am preaching to the choir here but the more I carry it the more I enjoy it. I wondered if I would like the feel of the handle and I love it and the blade locks up with authority. I think the Micarta would be nice too it would make it a little grippier, this is my first plain Seb and I must say I like the simplicity of it.

Knice knife. I just pulled the trigger on the micarta. My fav by far

Congratulations on your new baby!

The 25 was my first CRK purchase after hearing all the "Sebenza hype" for years it seemed. It had been out a short time and was very hard to find, and I literally stayed up all night searching for one somewhere. Finally found one at a small knife shop in MD, he'd had it on order for months and it arrived the day before.

Still my favorite, although it is impossible for me to dislike any of them.

I bought a micarta 25 today (to my surprise, they had one in stock at my local knife store they picked up at the Blade Show) and boy was I wrong when I was bashing it as ugly when the pictures first came out.

It's awesome as well, so if you like the 25, you may want to get both of them eventually. Enjoy your 25!

I love the 25, by far my favorite sebby

I edc it 4 ot of 7 days of the week on average (that's a lot of pocket time I rotate ALOT) it's definitely up in the upper echelon of great edc knifes.

The benchmade 940-1 & XM-24 are the only other knives I own that get weekly pocket time.... (And I edc a small insingo with them)

Also the Spyderco Sage 2 & the Bokêr SubCom Titan are excellent secondary carrys for your 25.

Edit
Also congrats my dude :)

When I was looking at my last Sebenza, I was really going back and forth between a large Micarta Insingo and a 25. Similar to your story it was at a time when the 25's where pretty new, one would pop up for a couple of hours on a dealers site and then it would be gone. I wasn't completely sure and I wasn't going to be able to handle one, not to mention that I had never in seen a large in person. One thing I was sure of was that I liked the Insingo blade style so that made the decision easier but still had the 25 in the back of my mind.

Time went by and then out of the blue I sold something that I didn't expect to and was once again, I was on the hunt. This time round I was also considering a CG or a plain 21 when a 25 popped up on the exchange, and it was in Canada which always makes things easier. The seller was great to deal with and I took the plunge and I am glad I did.

One thing about not being able to go to the dealer is that you build a picture in your head of what you think the knife will be like and it is always different and surprising (hopefully in a good way) all at the same time. I found the 25 is heavier than I thought, the ergos are better than I imagined, I had worried about a hot spot on the handle and the clip but this handle fits my hand perfectly. The jimping is more aggressive than I thought, the action is smoother, I like the double studs if for no other reason than the looks. When the knife locks up it feels really different than my 21, it is probably no more secure but it just "thunks" into place. It's only a hair bigger than my Large Insingo but it feels bigger. I like the big pivot it felt odd to adjust at first but you can really dial it in and I like the feel and the action. Take down was really easy no different than my 21's.

I really like the Micarta 25 but I would have to, as my wife calls it, "sneak buy it" or else my CRK's and I will be sharing a room together and I will be seeing my daughter on weekends.

As a new Sebenza 25 owner myself, I share in your excitement. Congratulations, the pictures are beautiful, and thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much once you own CRK's it starts to get harder to carry other knives doesn't it. Lately the Insingo and now the 25 are what I seem to gravitate towards I will start to pick up a knife from another maker and then change my mind at the last minute. That said it is certainly not always the case, I do still carry a military when I am hiking and a couple of different Emerson's if I feel like my knife might get a little abused at work or god forbid I will have to lend it to someone that is a little less in tune with what a knife is actually to be used for. And to be honest there are a few others that find there way into the mix. I have never owned a 940 but I have looked at them often enough, very nice slim knife.

Congratulations on the 25, they are great knives, I own 4 of them. I don't even carry any of my other knives any more. I daily carry one of my CRK's and a SnG. The Spyderco's now collect dust and my TSF Beast is a distant third. Yes, it is difficult to have something besides a CRK in the pocket

Congrats on your 25. Really nice knife, I had one a while back but sold it to fund an XM-18 3.5" Spanto. You won't be let down with the 25, had a superb f & f, and was very sharp out of the box. Your pics are awesome as well.

LG
