Went to a garage sale yesterday and found a knife by Isakk Jarvenpaa Oy Kauhava Finland. I was told that it was her mom's letter opener. I asked how much and the lady said 25 cents. Well made sheath. Thought you might like to see it.

A Randall? What's that? I think I have seen some in the barn. Bad joke. It was a good find. Need to ask at garage sales if they have camping gear, knives, guns for the kid, traps, guitars etc. Some times it's a hit. Good luck.
 
The picture didn't come out very well. Too small for some reason. I cannot seem to get the picture thing down right. It has a brass horse head and the handle is some sort of hard red material. Hard like a pool ball. Some letter opener. I wonder how old it is?

It does happen. A friend of mine purchased four knives for forty dollars at a yard sale about twenty years ago. One was a Randall, the others were lesser brands but nice just the same (Case, Western, etc.). Loosearrow, nice find, appears to be in nice shape!

If you put the pointer on top of the picture in photobucket you should see 4 boxes underneath. If you copy the one that says IMG Code and paste it into the body of your post you can bypass the second step in his post, the 'Insert Image' part.
 
Takle a look at ragweed forge. The current model leather stacked bark washer handled brass horsehead Hevosenpääpuukko is getting $85. Looks a bit similar, but I can't tell your measurements.
