myakka i sent you a email about a w.s.k for sale else ware on the net not sure if i could post it here but it starts with a big E :)

I really love those Becks, I have tried to email Mr Beck several times, but he doesnt reply to any of my emails. Has anyone heard from him? Is he still making knives?

I wonder if he'd make the WSK without the sawteeth and without that notch in the cutting edge?

Survivalboy,

I spoke to Dave a couple of months ago. He is not making knives right now due to health issues. I dont know why he did not e-mail you back, you might try sending another e-mail

Yep, A very nice knife Set.

I wish i could get one of Beck's Knives. sad day... still patiently waiting for someone to sell me theirs.

I only have the one with the mirror finish left and it has those 2 sheaths in the pic. ITS NOT FOR SALE

As I remember, Dave said that most of the Trackers were made of O1 and a few in ATS34. His total production of this knife was a little over 600

I know he stopped making WSKs quite some time ago and has stopped knife making in general do to nerve impingement in his hands (carpal tunnel...per last report). I did want to speak/communicate with him in general. Unfortunately, I have had very little success via email too.

It wouldn't be much of a WSK then would it? Wouldn't a small hand axe and a simple knife to compliment be a better choice at that point?

Caine, those are excellent knives!

Hi Ian Mitchell,
the knife was made by Jürgen Schanz, a German knifemaker. He should be well known in these forums.
His homepage:http://www.schanz-messer.de/.
Price depends on materials used. I don´t know whether he just did a limited WSK series. Just ask him.
The knifework is just perfect.

regards,
Markus

now you can beat the heck out of the blue'd blade one and look at the perty mirror finish when you return!
