No, I am not kidding. I am the luckiest guy on bladeforums.

You may have read my thread where Modoc Ed gifted me a beautiful beer scout.
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1349756-My-first-GEC-a-gifted-Beer-Scout-Knife

Ed apparently decided that one awesome beer scout was not enough of a GEC dose to create a full blown addict. In the mail this week arrived the other pattern I have been ogling for months, a knifebrite #71. To say I am blown away doesn't even begin to describe it. I was humbled by the generosity of the first gift and ten-times over by the second. Never in my life has anything like this happened.

In Ed's typcial style, not much was said other than Merry Christmas and "I WANT NOTHING IN RETURN!"

I have been slaving in the office all week and havent even cut anything with it yet. F&F could stand for fit and finish rather than Farm & Field. Awesome knife. The size is perfect. This is my first Sodbuster and I now know I have been missing a gem of a pattern. I favor small-medium folders and this fits the hand perfectly. The grip of the acrylic is surprisingly good, the handle ergonomics are wonderful, the blade geometry is awesome. I think this is my favorite single blade folder. It makes an awesome pair with my beer scout.

In no way do I deserve this generosity. I am grateful beyond words.

Ed - Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It's the family feel here that's like few other places I've been, virtual or actual, and what makes it special. Congrats!

Congrats Rishma gorgeous knife. Ed you are another of the great folks that keep me logging in every day. I applaud you for your generosity and your random acts of kindness does not go unnoticed. Thanks for being the type of person you are, very cool.:cool:

Rishma, it just may be Ed's halo that you see emanating from that knifebrite......

Could be! I have small kids. One of them had an alternate theory. "Mr. Ed must be Santa Claus or one of his elves sending you Christmas gifts early".

Ed is an awesome member here on BF. I have recently shared some PM's with Ed and he is a very honest and caring brother of this forum. Outstanding Ed.

Congrats on the new knives! “Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." JRR Tolkien

That's awesome. I really like those scales.

They feel great in the hand. It looks bright white indoors and glowing neon outdoors. Perfect for a work knife or woods knife, will never loose it. If you did, just wait for dark!

What was I to do? Andy posted some time back that he was thinking of getting a GEC knife and in particular, he wanted a Beer Scout Knife but couldn't find one. So..............I sent him one. Then I remembered that I had also read that he was looking at the GEC #71 Bull Nose. I thought maybe I'd set the hook in him for GEC knives for good; so................I ordered one through a dealer and had the dealer drop-ship it to Andy. I thought it only fitting that both the Beer Scout Knife and the Bull Buster be covered with matching covers; so............KnifeBrite it was!

Very cool, gentlemen.

Hats off from the Oklahoma hills.

That 71 is a sweet user.

I am in the woods coon hunting 4 or 5 nights a week this time of year, and I have a Bull Nose in Black Delrin and a Bull Buster in red micarta. One of the two is with me every trip.
