Hi guys, just wanted to show you how my sheath making is coming along...

Now, firstly I apologise for the lack of actual Busse content, as I don't have any small Busse knives... yet. I thought you'd maybe like to see anyway, my main sheaths will be for Busse anyways

This is the 2nd sheath that I've made, and I knocked this up in about 2 - 3 hours for my dad's folder.

So, here are some pics... I'm really enjoying working with leather, and although I don't have all the correct tools yet, I think it's OK.. he's pleased to bits with it, so that made me happy enough anyways :)

Hopefully my give away FBM sheath will be much tidier, but please let me know what you think

Thanks for looking guys

Alex

Hey man, cool work! Is there a belt loop out back or is it a pocket sheath?

LOL! I completely forgot about the back! Just a pocket sheath.. its for around the house... We can't carry anything over 3 inches in the UK, and NOTHING that locks, so no real need to put a belt loop on it as its just used around the house... (ps - our knife laws suck... people can't protect themselves here, but thats a whole other kettle of fish ;))

Its not as bad as I thought... I will take a pic when I see my dad later, and stick that up as well...

Thanks for your comments :D

you guys are doing great work. I gotta try it some time. Can you post a little tutorial on your method?

I've dabbled with leather work for only a short while, and I've really taken to it... great fun...

My first sheath was turd, but taking your time, and thinking things through really helps... also, you'd be amazed at how quickly it starts to look good after you start to put finishing touches on it :D

Nice work Alex. Keep on making them, each one gets a little easier and comes out better and better. Making little mistakes here and there is all part of the learning process.
