Just got a few finished from a batch of 30 I sent to Peters heat treating.

I named this model the Habu. They are a2 steel, heat treated to 58-60rc by Peters. All have a satin scotchbrite finish. All are right hand chisel ground.

Still learning alot, and having alot of fun. After collecting tools/toys, and studying for what seems like ages, I am finally getting some out there.

For those confused by the makers mark, it says J MASON (My name's Josh Mason, soon to get a membership)

Hope you guys like them :)

As always, comments and criticisms welcome.

I was going through a book of real old fonts and kind of borrowed from 3 different ones and modified some stuff a bit. Ernie Grospitch made the stencil. He does excellent work.

for early knives their very very nice

the wrap looks clean and tight, a little bit of practice getting the diamonds just right and you'll have a killer handle.

grinds look very clean and the maker's mark looks great

good job Josh

Thanks stephan, The cord I use is always fighting with me, but I have like a mile of it....lol. Better use it up. I'm sure everything will line up with every one I do. Thanks for the comments. They help me improve my work.
