Love these knives. Not in the Spyderco forum much but I do appreciate Spyderco. I might be missing out but I stick to the Colorado made knives. Military and PM2s. I just missed out in a run the day before yesterday.

Couldn't be happier, what a cool knife.

Native 5 and military are my spydercos of choice. I love the framelock military you have. That's one I'm hoping to get my hands on eventually, in one of the varieties I've seen at least.

I have some 20 Spyderco folders, of which 15 are Golden made. And more one on the way from KW :)

If all I had was the Golden made knives, I don't think I would be missing out on much. Honestly, if I all had was these three, which are my top three models, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Native or Manix 2 XL next. Haven't held either. Opinions?

I have a military in s30v. Manix 2 all black s30v. A endura in Vg10. I think the manix is my favorite all around knife. The military is a great working knife especially with gloves on. The endura is a great light task slicer.

You seem to have the "big" covered with the Military.
Manix XL might be a bit more stout but it's a tall knife that takes up a bunch of real estate in pocket.
Great knife, I've had a few but sold them off with only a Manix 1 (same size as the Manix XL but with a lock back) remaining.
Natives are a nice, friendly (in many aspects) size, fit well in hand and pocket.
I see the sprint carbon fiber 154/S90V on sale in a few places.

The XL feels incredible in my XXL hands. Solid x 2.
My friend has a small cattle ranch and he doesn’t go anywhere without his M2XL. Bought a second and third one to keep in his tractors.
But they are BIG in pocket, no doubt.
I have no experience with the Native.

Interesting observation. Now that I think about it, all my Spydercos are from the Military family, too. 1 Military, 1 PM-1, 5 PM-2s, and 7 PM-3s.

Apples and oranges.

I've got a Native 5 S90V Fluted CF and a standard Manix2 XL S30V G10. Complete opposites in my opinion.

3 vs 3.85" Blade Length
S90V vs S30V Blade Steel
CF vs G10 Handle Material
4 vs 5" Handle Length Closed
7 vs 9" Knife Length Open
Linerless vs Extended Liners
Lock Back vs Bearing Lock
3 vs 5 oz Weight

More simply stated, one is big and one is small. Just depends on which you prefer. You can't miss with either as long it it suits your needs/desires.

I like the Manix 2 models. I consider the Manix 2 to be a good work knife and the PM2 to be a good EDC knife. There's really a lot of crossover between these models. The Manix line gives you the option of the lightweight FRCP models, and the XL models.

I was carrying the Manix 2 in Cruwear yesterday and the XL version in S30V today. I have a Manix 2 in M4 that I use on weekends for working around the house. I have 4 different PM2 models that I use for EDC during the work week.

This Yojimbo I ordered will be different than I usually own. Excited to get it. I guess my collection will keep getting a little bigger.
