  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Was out to the cabin this weekend, and my 6 year old wanted to wittle a little...
She has her own little Mora Scout knife, but she wanted to use my 11...
I put the 9 that I was using down to get the 11.... What do you know, she went for the 9 and handeled it exelently, haha....
What a proud father I was then, LOL

She whittled with that big-a.. knife like she was raised with it in hand, LOL....

h I am teaching her well, but she actually picks up faster than I can teach her.
She battonned her first small logg into kindeling yesterday. Just watched me quietly, then picked up the 11 and went at it.
Wood flying and kindling ready in no time, LOL...

That`s the Norwegian Viking way, yeah, haha...
She`s my little "Valkyria", (Warrior-godesses who chose which warriors were allowed to come to Vallhalla)....
She is so safe with the knives, that I actually watch her 10 year old brother closer when he uses his knife, LOL...

She really should be a poster child for Becker! :D
What a great kid. You did good teaching her.

You can actually see the 11 in the background, she was not very interested in changing to that small knife. Lol

That's the most bada** pic of a kid I've ever seen! My girl is only 2 but I am going to have to start planning some cool pics now for when she reaches that age haha.

Oh. but she is bada.. LOL, always helping in preparing fire, and stacking wood.
Wittling and chopping away with her little Mora....
Gotta get her an Eskabar as soon as possible, haha...l

When the poster is made, the caption underneath should read

Becker Knife & Tool
because it's never too young to get em' started !!!

LOL :D

Never to young, I started them both out at the age of four, sitting in my lap.
They held the knife with me to get the feel at first, then they got to try for them selves sitting beside me.
Same way my grandpa did when I started out.

My oldest broke his Mora battoning last trip, so I guess a 16 is comming his way for his upcoming birthday.

And maybe a machax for my birthday.
And ofcourse an eskabar for the little lady, lol

you should viedo her useing the knife that way when she gets older like 16 you can show it to her and you can have a laugh about her learning on useing the knife.

She's a natural! Now teach her to use the cutting surface closer to her grip hand and she'll look like a pro. ;) Kids really do suck this stuff up fast.

My little man is always asking if he can use my BK10 or BK7. He gets to, but mom is always a nervous wreck when she sees it. I was making him a little 4-point spear out of a stick and green twigs and he no sooner said "Dad, you told me not to cut like that" than I go and slice my leg with the Remora. Yep, I guess that's one way to teach a lesson.

Thank you guys for all the awesome comments, the wife and I have gotten a few good laughs over some of the answers in here...
This is exactly why I almost only visit the Becker sub-forum....

Too bad I could`nt part-take in your gathering, would be way cool to visit some time...(Somehow I think the travel there would wear me out more than the gathering itself, haha...

This has to be the awesomest pic I`ve ever snapped in my life.....

Appreciate everyones feedback, and teach your kids well all of you too, LOL...
