Hi Everyone,

I am hoping to get some information on a knife that has been in our family for many years. It has been passed down from my Grandfather to my Father and finally me!!

Brand - Abercrombie & Fitch

Markings on Blade - Made in USA , Case XX Stainless

[
This knife also has a leather sheath that can be hooked onto the waist belt. The Blade+Handle is about 6inches in length and the blade is still very sharp and has not lost its shine.

I am attaching a few pics of the knife , can anyone tell me the following:

- What could be the year of manufacture?
- Does this manufacturer still exist?
- What would the current value of this knife?
- How exclusive/antique is it?

Thanks Everyone & awaiting your valuable information.

Hi, I used to dream-shop in Abercrombie and Fitch in the Chicago Loop fifty years ago. You could buy best English gold-encrusted Safari rifles or best quality matched pair of English Double-bbl shotguns,...all of the neat stuff. In the range of $50,000 at that time.
Don't know about your knife. Perhaps someone will help. I believe that the rules disallow talking about your knife's value unless you are a gold member.
It is obviously made by Case, so I wouldn't expect high-value, although collectors might find great value in it. Common steel back then, IIRC, was 440C and may well be stamped on the blade.
Good luck.

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.
