..is that as soon as I buy them, they become collectable. Let me explain: I was travelling in Austria, and I saw a nice Worker with Almite handle, so I thought"good knife, small size, I can use it as my everyday utility...". Right after 1 week I discover it is out of production and then collectable..Ok, no problem, I think, and I buy a CF Cricket...same story, and even worst with a plain Hunter, a Gin-1 Native,an Executiveand even a plain Worker...today I bought a plain SS Delica, and really hope to carry it without short term problems...

Sypderco seems to favor higher variety in smaller quantities than most other companies, from my observations.
I personally love the faster turnaround, because that means more newer models will be coming down the pipe and that gives a larger number of people of varying tastes and budgets a better selection to choose from.

I'm betting sooner or later Spyderco will have made a model to accomodate just about everyone's desires.
