Hi All,

Lurked for a while. Got a couple rats a few weeks back - I like them.

Tonight I pulled the trigger on my first Busse - CG Jack Hammer from the BF exchange.

Showed the wife a pic and told her the cost. She thought it was cool. She really has no idea what this has started re the addiction and all.

In the future I figure each Busse will cost me double cause I see some deals being made to keep everyone happy: one Busse for me = one Coach purse for her!

I'm still learning and look forward to contributing where I can.

Welcome aboard Triplem!!!. . . . Boy can I relate to the "Purse Swap" deal ! ! ! ! Be sure to bring your wife to the BLADE Show next year in Atlanta. . . 2 years ago we awarded a $1,300.00 PRADA purse to the HOG who knew the most about his wife and other girly things! Progunner took home the gold and from what I understand, had a hard time giving that purse up to his wife. . . . turns out that it really brought out his eyes!!!!! :D

A Prada just might get the wife to come with me to a knife show!

I don't know Progunner but I can respect someone that stands by their priorities. I probably would have negotiated a little to leverage the situation - she gets the purse and I get to buy a few more Busses:)!

Yeah Lee that was me. I am the recipient of Heavy's generosity. In my life good things generally happen for one of four reasons:
1. Hard work
2. Knowing the right person
3. Being in the right place at the right time
4. Luck favoring the prepared

In this instance it was shear timing.

Talk about timing, the last 24 hours have been good cause I also just got in on the frenzy of the newest Busse offering - NMFBM. Like I said the addiction just began and I already owe the wife a few Coaches:).

What a start, two of the coolest knives to come out of Busse in a long time and you got both. Congratulations and welcome.

Thanks Skunk. Man you are killing me. Two NMFBM cost me two Coach purses:eek:. That satin & green linen micarta is very attactive. We'll see how long I can fight the urge.

To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of small fixed blades. For EDC I carry folders. I think for fishing and camping a fixed does make more sense.

I think the smallest fixed I have is a 4" Rat HC. I do understand the Boney AD is infi and the HC is 154CM.

This is a question for everyone: Not comparing steels and only looking at fixed blades, is there something a 3 1/2" blade can do that a 4" or 5" cannot? Teach me / help me understand what I'm missing.
