One of my favorite models I used to make is the Straight Back Kephart. This has the old style Kephart handle, which I like. A customer called me a while back and told me he had seen it in a 2012 issue of SWAT Magazine, and he wanted a pair of them, in walnut. I think, if there is interest, I will offer them again.

Those are some nice looking pieces! Very user friendly!
I have my eyes on a friction folder of yours though.

These two are shipping Wednesday, both to the same customer. It amazes me that knives from a four year old magazine article got ordered!

If anyone is interested in this model, I will be offering them for $168 shipped with no sheath, and $188 shipped with a leather pouch sheath. They are about 8 1/2" long, with about a 4" blade. I can also make them longer.

Sometimes simple simply works. That design is about as basic as it gets but it just flat out works.
BTW, you make simple look good. Those are really nice looking blades.

These could possibly be the perfect "realistic" camp knife, it would work well for food prep and making shavings for fire starting. I collect old woodcraft and outdoors books, and none of them suggested a big thick knife like what the "camp knives" are like today.
