My (almost perfect) Skyline

First of all - been lurking for over a year - and appreciate all the great info/perspectives I have gotten.
I wanted to share some mods to my skyline - which made a nice knife into my EDC.

Used a deep carry clip: had to dremel out larger holes and cut-aways to get the torx screwdriver in. If you try this - make sure to make slots on the top of the clip. I tried screwing at an angle - it caused the scales to separate from the stainless steel liner (not to mention clip wobble).
I also got frustrated with the lint trap - so added 2 stainless stand-offs to open up the back

I still wish I could carry it tip-up - but the length on the deep carry clip just makes everything look funny. Also, the spacing of the holes makes a longer deep carry clip stick out in a funny place. Oh well - more reason to keep looking for that "perfect knife..."

Next step - maybe a thumb stud cutout...

i have a skyline in my pocket today too.
i like your mods though. mine is stock but red handled.
 
The Skyline is IMO the perfect platform for modifications I really think you did an outstanding job on yours.
 
looks nice. I just ordered a skyline and a clash from amazon and there's a local store that has the oso sweet and the clerk told me a lot of knives are going on sale after thanksgiving so I'm going back to get that on black friday.

I agree - seems the knockout is one step closer to perfect. Would you mind posting more pics? Specifically, wondering how much wider it it closed compared to the skyline? Just worried it will take a bit too much space in the pocket.
