So, as might be obvious from my pictures, I have way more modern than traditional knives. A couple of months ago, it occurred to me that - besides a Buck 110 - I had no American Traditionals, an obvious hole in my collection :)

So I bought a couple, trying to find patterns that were missing in my other knives. You should also understand, that I like my folders to be a little larger.

How did I do ? Any obvious ones that I'm missing ? If you think so and don't mind, show me a pic. Thanks !

Roland.

Splendid knives; you done good!:thumbsup: 🤓
FWIW, I think the two knives on the left of the top row are Laguioles, a French pattern.
I agree with JohnDF JohnDF that you should look for a stockman pattern you like, and I think EVERYONE should have an example of the canoe pattern.
Stockman (this one is 3.5" closed, but you can find big ones around 4"):

Since you seem to like big, single-bladed folders, I'll bet you'd be pleased with a toothpick pattern example (a full-size version, at least 4" closed, not one of those little 3" toothpicks). I prefer toothpicks with 2 blades, but 1-blade toothpicks are probably more common:

When someone says to me “American,” I will echo what the others said. Pattern = stockman and brand = Case. What are the covers on your 110? They don’t look very traditional.

Beautiful knives. I thought about a toothpick, you are reenforcing that idea :)

And yes, top two left are French, top three right are German.

It’s a true 110, but with Ti frame.

Thanks both !

You're welcome, Roland; glad you like your new Queen toothpick!:cool::thumbsup:
Good-looking wood; do you know what type it is?

I can't make out the brand but it looks like something great from the Fiddleback camp. Could you spell it out for me?
