My new AR from TAD was on the porch when I got home from work. Excellent knife, and like everyone else, I was surprised by the overall size.

Mine is flat-ground but is stamped BG-42. My tiger stripes are flat black, the pivot is a copper color. The stop pin is also a copper color. The clip is brushed stainless, not black. Very uniform bevel and very sharp.

You guys at Strider build a great knife and obviously it has instantly become my EDC

I am extremely jealous! BTW, I thought I read somewhere the clip was titanium. Come to think of it, the clip doesn't look like ti in any of the pictures I've seen...

I am happy for you! I got my GB 'bout a week and a half ago. Today was my first day back at work after vacation and mine was the first Strider anyone had seen. Everyone was impressed. Haven't got to use it much yet, but I did limb a tree in the yard with it. It worked fine.

L.O. Little, oh, didn't I tell you? There was a note in with mine. It was from Evan at TAD. He said that if I didn't like the AR I should send it to Lynn.

Well, now that I've held it for more than 10 seconds, I've decided to keep it! ;)

(I'm going to get my boss' digital camera and send you a pic to your e-mail.)

Ichabod, in my book, you are now an official boogerhead! How dare you to threaten sending me a picture of you new AR! There has GOT to be some kind of law against this type of mental cruelty. You're not related to my second or third ex-wife, are you?

Mick, you've got to intervene. The pain is TOO freaking great! All you have to do to make it all better is send Cecil Self some S30V ARs. I just talked to him & he said that if he got any, he'd hold one for me till the 26th. No other dealer would do it. I NEED an AR!

I wonder if I could write a country-western song about this...

When did we start using all this foul language? That is it I am going to have to be a tattle-tail...(did I even spell that right?) Oh well Mr Spark... OoooO Mr. Spark, Lynn said boogerhead. Oh my god somebody shoot.... WAIT: I forgot where I was for a Moment...ok boys put the guns down and relax.... Time for me to say Goodnite.

I just got my AR from TAD, also. Unbelievable knife! I think what surprised me most was the width. A real handful. The clip on mine is a matte black and very strong. Haven't had a chance to use it much. Cut some sticker bushes, but they didn't put up much of a fight.

I will half to agree with the rest of you guys. The AR is a Tank. I just picked mine up today. Know my GB has a friend.

L.O. Little, boogerhead? Ouch, that's cruel. After 25 years of riding a Hog I find myself cut to the quick! And you know how easily I bruise!

Lynn, just wait until your AR comes. I'm sure you'll do a bit of crowing yourself. I emptied out my pockets. I put the LCC and the clip-point away. The AR is all I carry.

I played with the AR all Friday night. I put the AR next to my bed. I carried the AR in some new levi's to church Sabbath morning. I went to the Chinese Buffet with the AR, well, just in case the General T'sao's chicken was tough and I had to cut it. And I'm playing with the AR as I type this.

Hey guys, does your blade sit 'high in the handle' when the knife is folded? The tip of mine sits +1/16th below the grip when folded. You can't feel the tip if you just run your finger down the spine, but if you press the pad of your finger down you can feel the rough edge of the tip. Yikes, in 30 or 40 years this may develop into a problem. ;)

My GB is here Fed-Ex dropped it off to my roommate this afternoon....Hhehehehehe L.O. you will fully enjoy your AR when it comes.... Sucker is sharp too...very sharp... Was showing the roommate the knife and he damn near took a finger off... Oh well at least my Strider has been blooded and not by me this time.LOL ....no stitches or anything we just taped him up real good and sent him on his way to a sound gig... should have seen his face... wow that was funny...plus now he will keep his hands off the GB...
